The Bachelor of Accounting programme under the faculty of Business and Accountancy is designed to give students’ academic and technical skill in broad areas. The programme encompasses a wide range of educational field which helps to learn the fundamentals of accounting and managing of funds.

Programme Aim

  • To understand the role of accounting for internal and external reporting purposes

  • Able to communicate in a team to initiate, execute and evaluate a finance plan for the development and practice of critical thinking skill with effective managerial skills to solve problems as a leader.

Entry Requirements

In order to be eligible, candidates should have fulfilled the relevant minimum qualifications indicated under one of the following three categories.

Category (1)

(a) Sri Lankan GCE AL: A minimum of 3 "S" passes in any 3 approved AL subject

OR

(b) Cambridge/Edexcel AL: A minimum of 3 "E" passes in any subject.

Category (2)

Those without 3 AL passes as indicated in category (1) (a) OR (1)(b) but sat for AL examination AND successful completion of Lincoln Foundation in Maths (10 months)

Category (3)

GCE OL 6 passes including Maths and successful completion of Lincoln Foundation in Months (12 months)

Credit transfer for registration at 3rd year:

Pearson Higher National Diploma/SQA Advanced Diploma or any other Diploma in relevant field to be considered on case by case basis in consultation with Lincoln University
